Capital Improvements
- Vascular – A new endovascular surgical suite brings to the region the latest technology for minimally invasive vascular treatments. It includes a highly advanced patient monitoring system and state-of-the-art intravascular ultrasound system. BWMC is one of the first locations in the country to combine these technologies in a single, interventional operating room.
- Cardiac – A newly renovated Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and a 12-bed Coronary Care Unit allows us to provide a wide range of services for patients with heart disease or disorders. A new digital imaging system is the hallmark of the renovation, enhancing physicians’ capabilities to diagnose and treat heart disease.
- ED/Inpatient Expansion – This $117-million facility expansion project will feature an eight-story Inpatient Tower with 111 new private patient rooms, as well as expansion of our Emergency Department, Ambulatory Services Departments, and OB Services area to include a satellite location of the University of Maryland Center for Advanced Fetal Care.
